Four Beat Homeless Man

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — Police said all four suspects in a videotaped attack on a homeless man are now in police custody.

On Tuesday, the Broward Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests of Brandon Edwards and William Sleight, both 19, in the July 2008 attack.

Now this is an attack that really hits close to home.

I don’t understand why beating up homeless people is so fun for teenagers, but it’s a big problem. These are people who haven’t done anything and don’t deserve such torment. Just because someone doesn’t own a home doesn’t mean that he or she is less of a person than anyone who does.

These are the kids that give teenagers a bad name, and now they are going to pay for it for the rest of their lives.

Lil' Wayne Expected To Spend A Year In Jail

NEW YORK (CNN) — Hip-hop artist Lil Wayne pleaded guilty Thursday to attempted criminal possession of a weapon, the Manhattan district attorney’s office said.

He was arrested in July 2007. Police officers said [Wayne] and another man were smoking marijuana on a street, and the officers found a .40-caliber pistol in [Wayne]’s possession.

This really shows the intelligence level of this human being and Americans in general. This man “raps” about breaking certain laws, and then actually fulfills his songs and breaks the laws in real life!

Is this really who we want the youth of America to look up to? Two men laying around on a street, getting high and carrying weapons? That’s almost as bad as some of the homeless people I see everyday, if not worse!

Toddler "Vandalises" Automobile

The Story: A two-year-old girl was investigated for vandalizing a neighbor’s car after she hit it with a stick, a story by the Daily Mail reported.

This is an example of an old, lonely hermit looking for some attention. What is wrong with someone who calls the police of a two-year-old girl? This is just ridiculous, and there’s nothing else to it. There was no reason for this police call, the girl was two years old.

Pet Bear Kills Woman

(Oct. 5) — A 37-year-old Pennsylvania woman died Sunday after being mauled by her pet black bear, authorities said.

Kelly Ann Walz was attacked when she entered the bear’s cage to feed the 350-pound animal and clean its cage, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The bear lived in a 15-by-15-foot steel and concrete enclosure on Walz’s property in Ross Township.

Shocker! Do people really think that it’s okay to keep a bear as a pet? That’s exactly like keeping any other proven dangerous, wild animal as a pet. I don’t understand what is wrong with people today. I saw another article about a wolf-dog that ate a baby, and I can’t help but notice how these stories tend to repeat themselves.

Roy gets eaten by a tiger, Carla Nash gets her hand eaten by a monkey, a baby gets eaten by a wolf, and now a woman who owns Bengal Tigers and African Lions gets eaten by a bear. I never heard the story about the viscous house cat, but that’s probably because a house cat is a normal pet.

Stop treating wild animals like pets and this kind of thing wouldn’t happen as often. I’m not saying this woman deserved what she got, I’m saying that it was her fault.

Gangs, Sex, Test Scores Adressed At Hispanic-Only Meeting

GAINESVILLE (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― A Gainesville student says she and her Hispanic classmates were singled out for an assembly about poor test scores, gangs and sex.

Why would they do this? Why are school officials so stupid? They lack any kind of common sense; otherwise, they would have known that this would cause controversy. I don’t even know what to say to anyone right now, except that I could make a better school-manager than this guy. A homeless man would be better at this job.

This is just so dumb. So inconsiderate. So racist.

No Chrarges Filed For False Rape Accusations

NEW YORK (CNN) — Criminal charges will not be filed against the 18-year-old college freshman who falsely accused five men of raping her in a dormitory bathroom at Hofstra University, an official said Friday.

How can someone vouch for the death penalty for rape charges? Especially after a case like this?

Women like this make me sick. These women discredit real rape victims. They make rape look like a joke.They’re just embarrassed that they drank way too much one night and had sex with five men, so they blame it on rape. If no one lied about rape, Roe v. Wade would never have happened.

Rape is not in any way funny. It is horrific and disgusting, but everyday women take it for granted. They view it as a scapegoat to avoid embarrassment.

Red Skins Booed At By Dim-Wits

The Redskins have a request for the fans who sat through their 9-7 victory against the Rams on Sunday. They’d like them to stop booing, no matter how many times uncreative offensive play-calling causes their offense to stall inside the red zone. An understandable request, but they may get a more positive response if they stop calling their fans “dimwits” when making it in the future.

If you play professional sports, and you make millions of dollars for playing a game, you shouldn’t whine when people get angry that you are losing. Pro-sports players deserve to get booed for the money they’re making. Hell, I’ll go out and play in the grass while everyone shouts “Boo” at me for a million dollars. I do that for free already!

People fork out millions to watch these people win a game, so we should be able to yell at them if we want to. If you don’t like having fun for a living, pick a different occupation.

Cops Relax While On Supposed Drug Raid

The Story: In the midst of a drug raid on a house that apparently took nine full hours and cost $4,000, cops apparently were distracted by Wii bowling. Reports say they started the game up within 20 minutes of entering the house and spent hours playing it.

This is another sad example of an abuse of power by police officers. There is practically nothing that makes me more angry than power-mad cops. Because they are police officers, they feel that they can do whatever they want, goof off for hours on end and get paid for it.

In all fairness, policemen do not get paid enough for what they do. Instead of receiving larger salaries, they are paid with unnecessary power. Power that is too much for these men to handle.

The justice system needs reform, just like the education system and pretty much every other system in this nation.

Administrators Force Religion Onto Students, Get Off Scott-Free

(Sept. 18) — A judge has ruled in favour of two Florida school administrators who faced contempt charges for saying a prayer at a school luncheon, according to a group that helped represent them.

This was probably not the first offence, either. These administrators have probably been praying over the announcements, at sports games, award ceremonies, etc. These men are forcing their personal religion onto the students of this school.

But, since they are proclaiming the dominant religion, nothing happens to them. If these men were praying and calling God “Allah,” or praying to Shiva, it would be a different story. The people in favour of these men now would be the first in line to sue them.

So, instead of coming to a school-wide holy war, just keep the church separated from the state. No one practice any religion at public schools. Children are forced to go as it is! A particular religion shouldn’t be forced upon them as well! This just goes to prove my point: the American education system needs reform.

Fire the administrators and hire some Muslim principals. Let’s see how that turns out.

One Of The Best Disruptions Of All Time

(CNN) — The reaction to Kanye West’s hijacking of the microphone from Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards came quickly and unequivocally.

Now of course KanYe West feels very foolish and regrets his actions. Even though Beyoncé did not win Best Female Video, she did win Video of the Year. KanYe, because of his outburst, was not at the award show to see this happen.

On the season premier of the Jay Leno Show, KanYe announced a public apology toward Taylor Swift and almost broke down crying.

Call me naïve, (or street-native), but I actually believe him. I believe that he regrets what he did and that he isn’t just an attention-hungry freak.

KanYe West made a mistake, and he is sorry for it.
