Religious Driver Refuses To Drive
DES MOINES, Iowa — There are some empty seats on DART buses thanks to those controversial atheist ads. That includes the driver seat.
So buses run an ad for an Atheist website and the bus driver gets fussy. Also, a few people stopped riding. I’ll say something: if I was able to afford the bus, I’d take it even if Satan’s face was on the side!
The driver doesn’t face getting fired; instead, he must stand up to “disciplinary action” for refusing the vehicle. If I was in charge, he’d already been fired and he could gloat about being a martyr all he wants to his church buddies. A business doesn’t need that kind of behaviour! If they let this slide, what next? “Oh, I can’t work today. Saturday, you know, church in the morning…”
If this driver really has such a problem, he needs to pay for his own ad to replace it. Drive the bus and shut up, or you’re fired.
