Fake Cop Pulls Over Drivers

HUDSON — The small, quaint community of Hudson is still large enough for a police impersonator to hide.

This is the kind of thing that causes new laws to form. Now, because of this faux cop, people getting pulled over can now call 9-1-1 to ask exactly which officer, if any, is pulling them over (I mean, it’s not like 9-1-1 is used for anything important).

There are two sides to this. In some ways, I am relieved and in others, upset over this new information.

Firstly, police officers will hopefully be more cautious of their abuse of power. And police officers definitely abuse power (partly because they are not paid nearly enough to do their jobs). Police officers think that they are above the law, and now, because people can all 9-1-1, cops will hopefully be more aware of their boundaries.

On the other hand, civilians can now figure that they have the right to dial up emergency hot lines every time they get pulled over. This time, the drivers are the ones abusing power, and people with real emergencies might not get the help they need.

Either way, this fake cop is a real jerk who needs to be at least fined or something.
