Students Charged With Harrasment For Wearing T-Shirts

A recent Penn Hills High School graduate who was banned from commencement ceremonies and prom after wearing a “not guilty” shirt to school was represented by the American Civil Liberties Union at an appeal hearing Tuesday.

Lawyers told Judge Robert Gallo that David Hood’s constitutional rights were violated in an incident that started with an argument with his prom date, Felisha Kunsman, over their limousine bill.

“We got into an argument over money for the prom, and then one thing just led to another and then we broke it off,” Hood told WTAE Channel 4’s Marcie Cipriani outside the courtroom.

This doesn’t make any sense. At all. There is no reason, besides any uniform, that these children shouldn’t be able to wear these T-shirts. If the school has no problem with T-shirts, then these kids should be set.

If people can walk around with the F-word on their shirts, there is no harm in having the words “not” and “guilty” on a shirt. I’d kill for a shirt like that (or any shirt for that matter)!

There is no reason that this is even an issue. It will not kill this girl to look at a shirt.

About The Educated Hobo

All my life, everyone's told me that I'd never accomplish anything and that I'd end up living on the streets or in a van down by the river. Well, despite their criticism and Saturday Night Live references, I managed to end up doing exactly as they predicted.
