Girl Killed While Trying To Catch Bus
PINELLAS COUNTY (Bay News 9) — A high school student was hit and killed by a car as she tried to catch her school bus Friday morning.
According to officials, Hernandez-Huapilla and a friend were running west across the street, toward the bus, when the accident happened. Authorities said it was dark and raining at the time of the crash.
Buses today are equipped with so many features that help cars to see them. There are precautions against rain and precautions against the dark. There is no way that the car that hit this girl did not see the bus. The driver is an inconsiderate murderer who was rushing and did not care to stop for crossing children.
